As an Electro Mechanical Technician, you’ll be pushing for innovative solutions to create a more sustainable future for all. You will carry out electrical and mechanical fault-finding, defect rectification and planned preventative maintenance within a modern Energy Recovery Facility. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and diagnosing faults on overhead cranes, grabs, inverters, battery and UPS systems, transformers, 415V and 11kV switchgear, protective devices, generator AVR and excitation systems. You will maintain and fault-find rotating equipment such as 415VAC motors, pumps, conveyors, motorised valves and associated control gear. You will interface with PLC controllers and support the Electrical, Mechanical and Control & Instrumentation teams during plant breakdowns. Use of electrical test equipment, workshop tools, drilling machines, lathes and bench-fitting equipment will be required. You will report plant defects, identify root causes and recommend improvements or modifications to plant and equipment. Liaising with Operations and maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and support efficient plant operation is essential. You may supervise company and contractor personnel when required. Maintaining clean, tidy and safe work areas and complying with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures is mandatory.
