Location
Rye Meads Sewage Treatment Works, Hertfordshire. You will be on site up to 5 days a week and will be required to travel to multiple sites depending on the projects. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required. A car allowance is paid monthly.

Hours
Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.

Salary
Up to £60,000 per annum depending on experience and skills, plus £4,500 car allowance.

About the Role
Are you an Engineering Project Manager who thrives on being hands-on and present on site? Join Thames Water and take the lead on engineering projects that keep communities moving. In this role, you will manage and deliver a portfolio of Mechanical, Electrical, and ICA projects, typically valued between £100,000 and £1 million each. You will be individually responsible for multiple live projects while also managing projects in the scoping and tendering phases. You will work closely with operations teams and contractors to scope, define, and cost innovative, cost-effective, and low-risk solutions that improve site efficiency and deliver value for customers.

You will oversee all aspects of project delivery including health and safety compliance, monthly audits, construction management in line with company policies and industry standards, and full adherence to CDM regulations. Collaboration with delivery partners and contractors is essential to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet Asset Standards, British and International Standards, and professional codes of conduct.

Additionally, you will manage commissioning, training, and handover of completed projects to operations teams, ensuring all completion documents such as test certificates, operation and maintenance manuals, health and safety files, and as-constructed drawings are provided.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to own projects end-to-end from initial brief through to commissioning and handover.

Experience
Proven experience in Construction or Engineering Project Management. Experience managing Mechanical, Electrical, or ICA projects is highly desirable.

Qualifications
Preferably a background in Engineering such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering. Formal qualifications such as a BTEC/HND or equivalent relevant experience are strongly encouraged. Knowledge of Clean Water Processing and/or Wastewater Treatment is an advantage.
