About the Role
Veolia is on a mission to 'Resource the World' and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fleet Workshop Manager to join our team in Haringey. As the Workshop Manager, you will lead workshop operations and development within the Haringey contract, ensuring high quality, customer-focused support is delivered to agreed performance standards.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are met in line with company policies, including auditing, supervising, and controlling subcontractors working internally or off site. You will maintain DVSA compliance standards at all times and oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs for a fleet of approximately 150 vehicles and plant throughout their economic lifetime, ensuring vehicle availability for all customers.

You will provide KPI data to operational and transport managers or appointed transport associates within the Veolia network, manage technician performance, productivity, quality control, appraisals, and oversee administration and stores. Additionally, you will manage procurement and supplier processes for vehicle parts and external repairs to deliver an efficient and cost-effective fleet solution.

Financial responsibility for the performance across both workshops to agreed budgets will be part of your role, along with providing support at other Veolia locations when required.

Experience
- Proven experience managing workshops, preferably within the waste industry
- Experience managing difficult and challenging situations within the workplace

About you
- Strong communication and negotiating skills
- Robust knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- In-depth knowledge of a wide range of vehicles and applications
- IT skills and experience with electronic diagnostic systems

Qualifications
- City & Guilds, HNC or ONC in vehicle maintenance (essential)
- HGV Licence (advantageous)
- CPC in Road Transport Management or willingness to work towards it
