About the Role
RSK Geosciences is seeking a Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our team based in the Midlands. The Geosciences team provides consultancy and design services to a diverse range of clients including engineers, house-builders, oil companies, and local authorities. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting long-term projects with market-leading training and career progression. Responsibilities include running and supporting Phase I & II geo-environmental ground investigations across various project scales, undertaking site works using intrusive investigation methods, environmental monitoring visits and reporting, incident response visits, soil logging to UK standards, and laboratory scheduling. You will work closely with senior staff and contribute to factual and interpretive reporting, ensuring high standards of health and safety and quality throughout.

Requirements

Experience
- Typically 1-5 years of relevant experience in geo-environmental consultancy or related fields
- Experience in running and supporting Phase I & II ground investigations
- Familiarity with intrusive investigation methods, environmental monitoring, and incident response
- Ability to complete factual and interpretative assessments at a basic level
- Track record of managing time and resources effectively within budget

- Able to work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Willingness to travel to the Coventry office and undertake site visits as required
- Holds a full UK driving licence

Qualifications
- BSc or equivalent in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- MSc desirable but not essential
- Working towards Chartered status with a relevant institution
- Basic knowledge of planning legislation and geotechnics
