About the Role
RSK Geosciences is seeking a Geo-environmental Consultant to join our Midlands team. You will be involved in delivering consultancy and design services to a diverse range of clients including engineers, house-builders, oil companies, and local authorities. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting long-term projects with market-leading training and career progression. Responsibilities include running and supporting Phase I & II geo-environmental ground investigations across various project scales, undertaking site works using intrusive investigation methods, environmental monitoring visits and reporting, incident response visits, soil logging to UK standards, and laboratory scheduling. You will work within a supportive team environment, contributing to factual and interpretive reporting and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Requirements

Experience
Typically requires 1-5 years of relevant experience in geo-environmental consultancy or related fields.
Proven track record in managing projects, time, and resources effectively within budget.
Experience in ground investigation works, contaminated land, and geotechnics.
Ability to complete factual and interpretative assessments to a basic level.
Ability to deliver projects within a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK driving licence is essential due to site visit requirements.
Willingness to travel to the Coventry office and various project sites.

Qualifications
BSc or equivalent degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
MSc desirable but not essential.
Working towards Chartered status with a relevant institution is preferred.
Basic knowledge of planning legislation.
