About the Role
Join AECOM’s water resources team delivering projects for domestic and international private and public sector clients. You will work on a variety of projects including dams and reservoirs, water supply systems, and flood risk management. This role offers a diverse range of experience tailored to your interests and career goals. You will collaborate closely with experienced engineers, developing your skills in a supportive culture that actively promotes learning and development.
Your responsibilities will include design tasks such as creating and modifying drawings using CAD software, producing calculations, and contributing to project design phases. You will assist with project management activities including research, data gathering, and report preparation. Practical experience will be gained through site visits involving surveys, inspections, and shadowing senior engineers during supervision. You will also participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and other professionals to discuss project requirements, progress, and challenges.

Experience
Relevant work experience is advantageous but not essential. Enthusiasm, hard work, and technical proficiency are key.
About you
Ambitious and driven with a strong interest in water-related projects. You should have good communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work independently while maintaining initiative and focus. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) are essential, and good report writing skills are beneficial. You must be willing and able to work towards professional qualifications such as ICE and CIWEM. You will be expected to consider the wider financial and commercial implications of your work and collaborate effectively within a team.
Qualifications
BEng or MEng in Civil or Civil and Environmental Engineering with at least a 2:1 classification (or equivalent). An MSc or water-related modules are advantageous. You must have the permanent right to work in the UK as visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
