About the Role
At Veolia, our drivers play a pivotal role in delivering essential services to local communities, helping to take better care of the world’s resources and making a positive impact every day. As an HGV Class 2 Driver and Team Leader, you will complete daily vehicle and equipment checks, drive HGV trucks when required, assist with loading activities, and ensure your team completes their tasks efficiently to maximise productivity. You will maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, report any defects, and uphold Health and Safety standards by ensuring appropriate PPE is worn. Additionally, you will carry out team leader checks, support your line manager with duties as needed, and cover for the PM team leader when required. Experience
- Valid Class 2 Licence
- Up-to-date CPC / DIGI card
- Team leadership and mentoring experience
- IT skills and experience in a similar environment
- Basic understanding of Health & Safety at work
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance
- Strong understanding of waste handling, disposal, and recycling processes
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities

Qualifications
Desirable qualifications include:
- 1 year or more Class 2 driving experience
- IOSH training
- Risk assessment training
