About the Role
At Veolia, our drivers are essential to delivering vital services that support local communities and protect the environment. As an HGV Class 2 Driver and Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient operations and leading your team to success. Your responsibilities will include completing daily vehicle and equipment checks, driving HGV trucks when required, assisting with loading activities, and ensuring staff complete their duties efficiently and safely. You will maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, report any defects or issues promptly, and uphold health and safety standards by ensuring appropriate PPE is worn. Additionally, you will carry out team leader checks, support your line manager, and cover for the PM team leader as needed. Experience
- Valid Class 2 Licence
- Up-to-date CPC / DIGI card
- Team leadership and mentoring experience
- IT skills and experience in a similar environment
- Basic understanding of Health & Safety at work
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance
- Strong understanding of waste handling, disposal, and recycling processes
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities

Qualifications
- Essential: Class 2 Licence, CPC / DIGI card
- Desirable: Over 1 year Class 2 driving experience, IOSH training, Risk Assessment training
