About the Role
When you see the world as we do, you see the chance to help the world take better care of its resources and help it become a better place for everyone. With one of the largest growing fleets in the UK, our drivers are pivotal to delivering essential services. They work hard to serve their local communities and make a positive impact every day. Whether you're looking to overhaul the industry or just do a good day's work, everyone at Veolia helps work alongside communities, look after the environment, and contribute to an inclusive culture.
As an HGV Driver, you will maintain and clean public areas including cleansing streets, channels, footpaths, alleys, subways, and areas under and around street furniture using supplied equipment. You will perform duties efficiently to ensure maximum productivity, accurately complete paperwork or electronic forms, and comply with site Health & Safety procedures while wearing appropriate Veolia PPE at all times. You will work independently or as part of a team, report fly tipping, graffiti, fly posting, and damaged or missing litter bins, and ensure the vehicle cab is left clear of litter and personal effects at the end of each shift. Reporting any accidents to your manager and completing all accident reports before leaving work is essential. Full training will be provided, and you will be working mainly outdoors in all weather conditions.
Veolia offers 25 days of annual leave, a £1000 referral bonus for recommending drivers, access to a pension scheme, free physiotherapy services, discounts on groceries and well-known retailers, and resources to support your physical, mental, and financial health. You will also have 24-hour access to a virtual GP for you and your household members, ongoing training and development opportunities, on-site parking, and paid CPC renewal training days.
