Hours
40 hours per week with start times at 3:30am or 9am. Overtime available: Saturdays paid at time and a half, Sundays paid at double time.

£19.50 per hour, plus Veolia benefits

About the Role
As an HGV Driver at Veolia, you will play a vital role in delivering essential services that support local communities and help protect the environment. You will maintain and clean public areas including streets, channels, footpaths, alleys, subways, and areas around street furniture using supplied equipment. Duties must be performed efficiently and effectively to ensure maximum productivity. You will be responsible for accurately completing paperwork or electronic forms related to your allocated work. Compliance with Health & Safety procedures and wearing appropriate Veolia PPE at all times is essential. You may work independently or as part of a team. Reporting issues such as fly tipping, graffiti, fly posting, and damaged or missing litter bins is part of the role. At the end of each shift, drivers and side hands must ensure the vehicle cab is clear of litter, uniform, and personal effects. Any accidents occurring during your shift must be reported to the manager and documented before leaving work. Full training will be provided. The role involves working mainly outdoors in all weather conditions.

Experience
Essential: Hold a valid Class 2 Driving Licence and an up-to-date CPC / DIGI card. Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly.
Desirable: Local geographical knowledge including experience driving in the area. Experience in waste transport is advantageous.

Reliable and safety-conscious with a strong work ethic. Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Good communication skills and a team player.
