About the Role
Join Veolia as an HGV Class 2 Driver and play a vital role in delivering essential services to local communities. You will be responsible for conducting pre-trip and end-of-shift vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance. Operating the vehicle safely while adhering to traffic laws and HGV-specific regulations is key. You will communicate effectively with management, report any mechanical issues to the workshop, and ensure compliance with drivers' hours regulations including mandatory rest breaks. Maintaining professional relationships with management and clients, following health and safety protocols, and keeping the vehicle clean and well-maintained are essential duties. Experience
Essential: Valid Class 2 Driving Licence and an up-to-date CPC / DIGI card. Ability to work confidently within a team environment and good communication skills are required. Desired: Prior experience working within waste management is advantageous.
