This role supports local waste and recycling services within Southwark, combining driving and loading duties as part of a collection crew. You will work as part of a team to ensure collections are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while representing an essential public service.

What You Will Do
• Drive and operate a Class 2 vehicle as part of a refuse and recycling collection crew
• Load and collect household waste, recycling, and green waste
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Use onboard systems to record completed collections and report issues
• Comply with road traffic laws, weight limits, and site safety procedures
• Ensure collection areas are left clean and safe
• Support other crews when required
• Follow all health and safety procedures and safe working practices

Essential
• Valid Class 2 HGV licence
• Up to date CPC qualification
• Valid digital tachograph card
• Willingness to carry out a mixed driving and loading role
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements

• Pay: £30'225 per year
• Hours: Guaranteed 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Start time: Early morning starts, finish times vary
