Role Overview
As Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the profitable growth of the business within the Northwest Region and the rest of the UK, with emphasis on generating new customer leads within the Industrial and Commercial sectors, as well as expanding offerings to existing clients and partners. Products and services span dashboard software, monitoring and control devices, battery storage, and heat pumps.
You will be supported by a small team of Net Zero solution experts, Energy contract sales specialists, and Bid Managers. We are seeking a marketing manager to drive a targeted lead generation campaign with a primary objective to acquire 600 qualified leads in 2026 from enterprises with high energy consumption. This role reports directly to Q Energy’s Directors.
Key Responsibilities
Support the creation of the growth strategy and marketing plan
Deliver against agreed lead generation targets
Proactively build client relationships to maintain a strong pipeline
Leverage your network to develop and maintain strategic relationships with target counterparties and partners to enable deal flow and lead generation
Ensure CRM system is up to date and make improvements to processes
Act as an ambassador in client meetings, conferences, and webinars
Actively manage routes to market; identify and attend networking events
Engage and nurture executive relationships across the industry to generate new business opportunities and raise the company’s profile
Essential Experience and Skills
Digital Marketing & Lead Generation
Run pay-per-click campaigns including Google Ads, LinkedIn, and other affiliate networks
Lead generation campaigns including email and LinkedIn outreach
Organise webinars for lead generation
Participate and exhibit in industry events
Organise partner events with panel discussions and product launches
Website listings and display advertising
Affiliate marketing campaigns
Content and Communications
Press releases, case studies, whitepapers, and blogs
Content creation including landing pages and website pages, working closely with designers and developers
Work with photographers and videographers to create videos, photos, and animations
Industry Knowledge and Stakeholder Management
Experience influencing senior and executive-level stakeholders, both internally and externally
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Experience in negotiating agreements for marketing campaigns with external agencies and event organisers
Flexibility regarding working hours to meet business demands
Desirable Experience
Demonstrable knowledge of the energy services industry with specific awareness of one or more of: energy monitoring and remote management systems, smart building controls, metering solutions, solar projects, battery storage, or heat pumps
Experience in UK power, sustainability, carbon consultancy, or energy brokerage environment with demonstrable experience of lead generation
Quarterly performance pay based upon sales conversions and profits
