About the Role
At Veolia, our drivers play a vital role in delivering essential services that help communities and protect the environment. As an HGV Driver/Team Leader, you will drive a range of vehicles including 3.5T, 7.5T, and Class 2 vehicles when required. You will ensure contractual obligations and priority routes are completed efficiently and on time. Your responsibilities include assisting your Manager with daily vehicle and equipment checks, ensuring all staff receive appropriate worksheets and understand their tasks, and maintaining clean and safe depot areas. You will also complete daily log sheets and reports, undertake contract monitoring surveys, and may deputise for your Manager when necessary. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team and contribute positively to your local community while working within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Experience
- HGV Class 2 Licence
- Valid CPC and Tacho Card
- Experience managing and leading a team
- Local geographical knowledge
- Experience using waste management systems, including Echo
- Experience working with local authority clients
- Good IT skills

- Prior experience within waste management is desirable
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team
