About the Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day servicing, MOT preparation, and repairs of our HGV fleet. You will carry out routine vehicle inspections, maintenance, fault finding, and repairs to ensure the fleet remains reliable, available, and safe.
You will ensure all workshop tools, personal tools, and welding equipment are secured and locked away each night where possible. Welding and electrical equipment must be turned off and left in a safe condition when not in use.
You may be required to attend roadside breakdowns and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Veolia offers ongoing training and development opportunities to help you reach your full potential, support in attaining an HGV licence, and the chance to learn and develop skills across chassis and body systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and driveline components on a mixed fleet of vehicles.
Additional benefits include 25 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays, access to a pension scheme, volunteering days, referral bonuses, free physiotherapy and private GP consultation services, discounts on retail and groceries, cycle to work scheme, and comprehensive support for physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.
