About the Role
As a HGV Technician at Veolia, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and repairing our diverse fleet of vehicles to ensure continuous service delivery across the UK. Your responsibilities will include repairing and maintaining Veolia fleet, third-party vehicles, and plant equipment in line with manufacturer and industry standards. You will run diagnostics using a range of equipment and carry out hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic diagnostics and repairs. Additional duties include completing HGV MOT inspections and preparations, performing roadside repairs when necessary (training provided), and ensuring all paperwork and timesheets are accurately completed. You will work closely with the Workshop Management Team and adhere strictly to Health & Safety regulations, taking responsibility for your safety and that of others.
Veolia offers ongoing training and development opportunities to help you reach your full potential, including support in attaining an HGV licence and upskilling on chassis and body systems such as pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and driveline components. Join a company committed to environmental care, community engagement, and an inclusive culture where no two days are the same.

Experience
Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or HGV Technician is preferred. Experience working with vehicle diagnostics, hydraulics, electrics, and pneumatics is advantageous.
About You
Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements is essential. You should be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Holding a HGV driving licence is preferred but not essential. You must supply your own comprehensive tool kit; diagnostic equipment and specialised tools will be provided by Veolia. If you are a skilled technician, Veolia offers opportunities for upskilling and further development.

Ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification or equivalent. IRTEC licence preferred but training can be provided. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are highly valued.
