Salary
Up to £21.93 per hour dependant on experience plus 50p per hour for a valid HGV Licence

About the Role
As a HGV Technician at Veolia, no two days are the same, working with over 100 types of vehicles within our fleet. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the continued delivery of our services across the UK. You will repair and maintain the Veolia fleet, 3rd party vehicles, and plant equipment in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards. Responsibilities include running diagnostics using a range of equipment, performing hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic diagnostics and repairs, carrying out HGV MOT inspections and preparations, and completing roadside repairs when necessary. You will work closely with the Workshop Management Team and adhere strictly to Health & Safety regulations, ensuring your safety and that of others. Accurate completion of all necessary paperwork and timesheets is also required.

Experience
Experience with Waste/RCV vehicles is desirable. Electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagnostic and repair experience is advantageous. Welding and fabrication skills, as well as forklift (counterbalance) licence, are beneficial.

About you
Good communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Able to work under pressure and actively seek solutions to problems. Flexible and willing to undertake a wide range of tasks. Thorough knowledge of current HGV MOT regulations and standards.

Qualifications
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in HGV Engineering or equivalent. Valid Driving Licence is required. IRTEC Licence is desirable. A valid HGV Driving Licence is highly advantageous and attracts an additional 50p per hour.
