
Location
Hurtswood Court HWRC - Greater Manchester. This role requires travel between sites throughout Greater Manchester, so own transport is essential.
Hours
Working a 4 On 4 Off shift pattern. Start/finish times vary seasonally: 10.5 hours per shift in Winter between 07:45 and 18:15, and 12.5 hours per shift in Summer between 07:45 and 20:15. Working 38.5 hours per week (pro rata), Monday to Sunday.
Salary
£29,764.65 per annum / £14.82 per hour

As a Mobile Recycling Operative, you will help preserve and restore our planet’s natural capital for future generations. The role involves providing excellent customer service by advising and assisting the public on site usage to maximise material recovery. Responsibilities include operating mobile plant, maintaining accurate records of material removal, managing container exchanges to ensure proper segregation and storage, and maintaining a tidy site within your area of responsibility. You will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, cooperate with colleagues to meet site permit requirements, and perform other reasonable duties within the scope of the role. Full personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided.
Experience
Prior experience operating mobile plant is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Enthusiastic team player with a good level of customer service skills. A flexible approach to work is important, as you may be required to cover holiday and sick days. You must be committed to ensuring operations exceed required standards and be willing to work collaboratively within the site team.
Qualifications
Full driving license is required. There is potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health and safety training.
