Net Zero Careers Accelerator supports skilled trades into stable, long term construction roles across London’s regeneration projects.

This Painter and Decorator role involves carrying out internal and external decorating works to a high standard. You will work both independently and alongside other trades to complete works safely, efficiently, and to client satisfaction.

Section 106 Eligibility
This role is funded through a Section 106 planning obligation and is only open to applicants who live within the following postcode areas: DA1, DA5, DA6, DA7, DA8, DA14, DA15, DA16, DA17, DA18, SE2, SE28, and SE9.

What You Will Do

• Prepare surfaces including stripping, filling, and sanding
• Apply primers, undercoats, paints, and finishes
• Measure and calculate materials required
• Maintain clean and organised work areas
• Work collaboratively with site teams and other trades

Essential
• Resident within the following postcode areas: DA1, DA5, DA6, DA7, DA8, DA14, DA15, DA16, DA17, DA18, SE2, SE28, and SE9.
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Painting and Decorating
• Valid CSCS card
• Minimum 5 years’ experience

• Pay: £34,000–£43,000 per year depending on experience
• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Location: South Thamesmead
