About the Role
Are you passionate about improving the environmental performance of infrastructure development projects and helping the UK deliver its net zero commitments? Join AECOM’s established Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team of over 165 professionals across the UK and Ireland. As a Principal EIA Consultant, you will manage environmental inputs to large-scale development projects across multiple sectors including energy generation (carbon capture, hydrogen, renewables), energy distribution, rail, highways, regeneration, ecommerce, minerals and waste, water, defence, aviation, commercial, residential and industrial developments.
You will lead the preparation and technical review of EIA screening and scoping reports, Environmental Statements, and supporting documents throughout all project stages from early strategy and feasibility, through detailed design, construction, and operation. You will work across various consenting regimes such as DCO, TCPA, TWA, and hybrid Bills.
Your role will involve ensuring the highest quality standards in deliverables, managing resources and budgets, collaborating with integrated design teams to identify environmental constraints and mitigation solutions, managing client relationships, and leading business development opportunities. This is an opportunity to contribute to transformative infrastructure projects that create positive, lasting impacts aligned with AECOM’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy.
