About the Role
Join AECOM’s market-leading Town Planning team to work on major infrastructure planning projects across the UK, with a particular focus on Development Consent Order (DCO) projects. You will lead and assist in delivering major development applications, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and managing planning applications through various consenting regimes. Projects include renewables, energy transmission, rail, water, defence, housing, and mixed-use developments. You will provide expert planning advice, produce feasibility reports, consent strategies, and key planning documents such as Planning Statements and Design and Access Statements. The role involves close collaboration with Environmental Impact Assessment teams and engagement with local planning authorities and stakeholders. You will also contribute to business development activities, identifying opportunities and building client relationships. This is an excellent opportunity to work on prestigious infrastructure projects within a supportive and flexible hybrid working environment, supported by a national team of over 70 Chartered or Licentiate Planners.
Experience
- Significant experience leading planning consent applications for large infrastructure projects across multiple consenting regimes including DCOs.
- Experience in client and stakeholder management with existing relationships in the sector.
- Business development experience with a proven track record of winning and developing client relationships.
- Expert witness experience is advantageous.

Qualifications
