About the Role
Are you passionate about improving the environmental performance of infrastructure development projects and helping the UK deliver its net zero commitments? Join AECOM’s established Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team of over 165 professionals across the UK and Ireland. As a Senior EIA Consultant, you will provide technical expertise and coordinate environmental inputs to EIA screening and scoping reports, Environmental Statements, and supporting documents. You will be involved throughout all project stages, from early strategy and site identification, through feasibility, optioneering, design, construction, and operation phases.
You will work across a diverse portfolio of large-scale development projects including energy generation (carbon capture, hydrogen, renewables such as solar and offshore wind), energy distribution and transmission (including Great Grid Upgrade projects), carbon capture pipelines, strategic rail projects, highway improvements, regeneration developments, and projects in ecommerce, minerals and waste, water, defence, aviation, commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
Your role will include ensuring the highest quality of deliverables, developing project management skills by coordinating resources and budgets, collaborating with integrated design teams to improve environmental outcomes, and maintaining direct client contact. You will also support business development activities and promote AECOM’s environmental services internally and externally.
At AECOM, you will thrive in an inclusive, forward-thinking environment with access to career development opportunities, technical practice networks, AECOM University, volunteering days, and a flexible hybrid working model to support work-life balance. Join us to be part of a global team delivering transformational projects that uplift communities and create sustainable legacies.
