About the Role
The UK water sector is entering a period of unprecedented investment and transformation. As part of the fast-growing UK Water team, you will join an agile environment where progression is quick, visibility is high, and your impact is immediate. We deliver iconic projects that connect people, protect the environment, and meet emission reduction targets across sectors including motorways, tramways, nuclear power plants, and smart cities.

We are seeking an experienced wastewater modeller to take a lead role in developing our services for water companies, focusing on urban drainage and sewer modelling. You will support clients in their asset investment decisions through optioneering and detailed design phases. This is a rare opportunity to join Egis at a key stage of UK growth, helping to shape and expand a wastewater modelling capability built on Egis’ global infrastructure expertise and long-term sector commitment.

- Mentor less experienced colleagues and supervise quality of deliverables
- Collaborate with teams across the UK, Ireland, and France to deliver hydraulic modelling services
- Provide technical and expert advice to clients, manage and deliver projects
- Support business development, contribute to tenders and proposals
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Work with wider Egis teams to develop market-leading and innovative services
- Participate in industry events, seminars, and conferences to showcase Egis technical capability and project experience

- Interest and experience in developing digital tools to improve hydraulic modelling efficiency; scripting/automation skills (e.g. Python, Ruby) advantageous
- Experience with other hydraulic modelling packages beneficial (e.g. Tuflow, Mike, Flood Modeller Pro)
- Flood risk modelling, assessment, and mapping experience beneficial

About you
- Hands-on, delivery and client focused with a positive and strong work ethic
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Passionate about supporting and mentoring colleagues
- Able to work effectively in multi-disciplinary and remote teams
- Innovative mindset, always seeking to improve, automate, streamline, learn, and develop

Qualifications
- BSc/Eng or MSc/Eng in Civil, Water or Environmental Engineering disciplines
- 8+ years of relevant experience
