Omnia Projects, part of Egis Group, is a UK-based engineering consultancy specialising in electricity Transmission and Distribution (T&D), providing engineering, project management and technical assurance services.

As a Project Manager - Substations with 5+ years’ experience, you will support and work alongside the in-house project delivery team to provide works across multiple asset classes including substations, underground cables, overhead lines and civils, covering system voltages from low voltage (LV) up to and including 400kV.

Your responsibilities will include designing, planning and delivering projects from feasibility through to completion, ensuring compliance with Grid standards, systems and licence obligations. You will manage projects to time, cost and quality targets, administer contracts and tenders, lead project teams and stakeholder engagement, and ensure adherence to client quality, safety (including CDM duties), and environmental standards. Additional duties include undertaking site investigations, producing cost proposals, managing equipment and supplier interfaces, reviewing designs and tenders, conducting audits and site inspections, managing project risks and resources, and maintaining client operational authorisations for substation access and supervision.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven track record in the electricity distribution and/or transmission industry with 5+ years’ experience delivering Project Manager activities.
- Strong technical knowledge across distribution asset classes (cables, overhead lines, substations and civils) with competence to manage works from LV up to and including 66kV.
- Experience managing both major projects and high-volume workstreams, including projects typically valued over £5m.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience working on CDM notifiable projects.

Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; HNC or equivalent qualifications also considered.
- NEBOSH or equivalent safety management qualification.
