About the Role
Egis Group is a leading global consulting, construction engineering and operating firm with over 50 years of experience and 23,500 employees across 70 countries. Joining Egis means embracing a people-first culture committed to sustainability and innovation. Within the UK, Omnia Projects delivers multidisciplinary expertise for energy projects, focusing on dynamic, environmentally conscious solutions across all asset lifecycle phases.
We are seeking an experienced EPC Project Manager to join the Construction Strategy Team, responsible for delivering critical equipment investments across major UK electricity transmission programmes. You will manage multiple projects involving procurement, manufacture, delivery, and handover of high-value, long-lead equipment.
Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, engineering specialists, original equipment manufacturers, and key stakeholders, you will guide projects from development and sanction through tendering, delivery, testing, commissioning, and close-out. This role supports the timely supply of essential equipment for the transmission investment portfolio for T3 and beyond, offering broad exposure to commercial management, global supply chains, manufacturing assurance, logistics, project governance, and regulated infrastructure delivery.
Key responsibilities include leading a portfolio of equipment procurement and delivery projects through all phases in line with the Network Development Process; managing project performance across scope, programme, cost, quality, risk, budget, and governance; acting as NEC Project Manager or equivalent to maintain contractual compliance and delivery assurance; supporting contracting strategy and tendering; providing regular project status reports with financial forecasting, SHESQ performance, milestone progress, and risk management data; managing third party issues, land, consents, public relations, and local community stakeholder relationships; coordinating equipment allocation to optimise portfolio use and minimise storage; overseeing OEM contractors, logistics providers, and global supply chains; ensuring compliance with CDM, SHESQ, safety, environmental, regulatory and organisational requirements; and mentoring junior colleagues.
Experience
- Strong project management experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or other complex delivery environments.
- Demonstrable responsibility for scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and delivery performance.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Sound commercial, contract-management, and project-governance capability.
- Experience with financial forecasting, budget management, reporting, and performance management.
- Clear communication, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Understanding of relevant safety and environmental legislation.
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to project and supplier locations.
About you
You are a proactive and organised professional with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. You thrive in collaborative environments, maintain positive stakeholder relationships, and demonstrate strong leadership and mentoring skills. You are committed to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and you embrace continuous improvement and innovation.

- Desirable: Familiarity with EPC, OEM, or direct equipment-purchase delivery models.
- Desirable: Experience with factory acceptance testing, manufacturing assurance, international logistics, or global supply chains.
- Desirable: Knowledge of RIIO, regulated utilities, or major UK infrastructure investment programmes.
