
Location
Mixed home/office-based role with an expectation to spend at least two days per week in one of our offices located in Bath, Bristol, London, or Manchester.
Hours
Full-time (40 hours per week) preferred, although applicants able to work four days/32 hours per week will be considered.

About the Role
As a Senior Consultant within Nature Positive, part of the RSK Group, you will join our carbon, climate, and built environment team to conduct and manage complex greenhouse gas (GHG) assessments, verifications, and reporting aligned with the GHG Protocol and other industry standards. Your responsibilities will include data collection, quality assurance, calculations, and reporting/disclosure. You will support organisations in developing decarbonisation targets and plans to reduce GHG emissions and contribute to wider team projects such as climate risk and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
Key duties include setting carbon reduction targets using the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) or other methodologies, providing training and technical support to team members, facilitating stakeholder workshops and consultations to promote climate action, delegating and supporting junior colleagues, managing projects and client relationships, contributing to business development through proposals and tenders, assisting with internal carbon footprinting software, and participating in team meetings both online and face-to-face.

Experience
- Minimum of three years relevant experience conducting organisational GHG assessments, preferably within consultancy.
- Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in Excel (to be assessed during recruitment).
- Experience in project administration and management, including financial management, invoicing, and budgeting.
- Comfortable presenting complex information clearly in both written and oral formats.
- Desirable experience includes membership of relevant professional institutions (e.g. ISEP, Energy Institute), software platform management or development, Whole Life Carbon (WLC) assessments in the built environment, climate risk assessment/TCFD, transition planning, GIS, Alteryx, Python, and previous line management or delegation.

Qualifications
First or 2:1 BA/BSc degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
