About the Role
Join AECOM’s dynamic Nature team as a Senior Ecologist and help shape the future of the environment. You will work on a diverse portfolio of ecology projects across sectors such as power and renewables, infrastructure, environment, and transport. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including landscape, GIS, engineering, sustainability, and drainage specialists. Your responsibilities will include supporting the preparation of high-quality, commercially astute bids and tenders for ecological services; planning, scheduling, and organising all phases of ecological projects to meet programme and budget requirements; delivering high-quality ecological consultancy and advisory services; developing technically robust and pragmatic solutions to complex ecological issues; communicating effectively with team members and clients; producing ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species licence applications; and authoring or technically checking project deliverables to ensure excellence.
At AECOM, you will be part of a global team of over 50,000 professionals committed to delivering a better world. Our Nature business includes around 230 experts across the UK&I, from species licence holders to leaders in impact assessment, habitat creation, ecosystem restoration, enhancement, and management.
