About the Role
Are you passionate about improving the environmental performance of infrastructure development projects and helping the UK deliver its net zero commitments? Join AECOM’s established Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team of over 165 professionals across the UK and Ireland. As a Senior EIA Consultant, you will provide expert coordination of environmental inputs to EIA screening and scoping reports, Environmental Statements, and supporting documents. You will be involved throughout all project life stages from early strategy and site identification, through feasibility, optioneering, design, construction, and operation phases. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale development projects including energy generation (carbon capture, hydrogen, renewables), energy distribution and transmission, carbon capture pipelines, strategic rail projects, highway improvements, regeneration schemes, and developments across ecommerce, minerals and waste, water, defence, aviation, commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
You will ensure the highest quality standards in deliverables, develop project management skills including resource and budget coordination, collaborate with integrated design teams to improve environmental outcomes, and maintain direct client contact. You will also support business development activities and promote AECOM’s environmental services internally and externally.
At AECOM, you will thrive in an inclusive, forward-thinking environment with access to career development, technical practice networks, AECOM University, volunteering days, and a flexible hybrid working model.
