About the Role
Join AECOM’s dynamic Nature team as a Senior Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Specialist and help shape the future of environmental sustainability. You will deliver biodiversity net gain assessments for infrastructure and development projects across Scotland and the wider UK, working on high-profile projects such as rail upgrades, blue and green hydrogen facilities, solar farms, water, and highways projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of nature through innovative ecological design and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. You will produce and technically review biodiversity assessments, support client engagement, and lead bids and tenders for ecological and BNG services. Experience
- Proven experience leading and managing biodiversity assessments using the Statutory Metric and other recognised measurement tools
- Experience undertaking UKHabs surveys and Habitat Condition Assessments
- Experience reviewing technical work, supporting team members, and preparing bids and tenders

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in ecology or a related subject
- Membership of an appropriate professional institution
- Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation and policy related to biodiversity and ecology
