About the Role
Are you passionate about improving the environmental performance of infrastructure development projects and helping the UK meet its net zero commitments? Join AECOM’s established Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team of over 165 professionals across the UK and Ireland. As a Senior EIA Consultant, you will coordinate environmental inputs to EIA screening and scoping reports, Environmental Statements, and supporting documents, including technical review of specialist chapters. You will be involved throughout all project stages from early strategy and site identification, through feasibility, optioneering, detailed design, construction, and operation/maintenance phases. You will work across a diverse portfolio of projects including energy generation (carbon capture, hydrogen, renewables), energy distribution and transmission, strategic rail, highway improvements, regeneration, and developments in ecommerce, minerals, waste, water, defence, aviation, commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
Your role will require a critical eye for quality to ensure deliverables meet the highest standards. You will develop project management skills by coordinating resources and budgets, collaborate within integrated design teams to identify environmental constraints and mitigation solutions, and maintain direct client contact. You will also support business development activities and promote AECOM’s environmental services internally and externally.
At AECOM, you will be part of a forward-thinking, inclusive environment with access to career development, technical practice networks, AECOM University, volunteering days, and a flexible hybrid working model that supports work-life balance. Join us to contribute to projects that transform infrastructure and uplift communities while advancing your career in a global, trusted infrastructure consulting firm.
