RSK Group is searching for a Senior or Principal Environmental Manager with a construction-based background to lead a flagship Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project in North Wales. This is a unique opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role at the forefront of sustainable innovation and help shape a cleaner, greener UK. We're looking for a driven professional who is comfortable being on-site weekly, managing dynamic project environments, building successful client and stakeholder relationships, leading multidisciplinary teams, and eager to develop project management expertise.
Geographic Scope
You will be based in the North West, covering a project patch that includes Lancashire, Cheshire, Flintshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire, and West Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Carbon Capture Leadership: Drive technical delivery, compliance, and innovation in one of the UK's most exciting low-carbon initiatives.
- Renewables Transformation: Contribute to a portfolio of renewable and sustainable energy projects across the UK.
- Client Management: Maintain and develop strong client relationships, ensuring RSK is the trusted partner of choice.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure delivery excellence.
- Tender & Proposal Oversight: Lead strategic bids and tenders to secure future opportunities.

Experience
Chartered (or working toward chartered) status with robust experience in environmental or infrastructure consultancy.
About you
Solid technical foundation in environmental policy, legislation, and SHEQ practices. Confidence in project and financial management with a track record of profitability and stakeholder satisfaction. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
