With record levels of investment and ongoing growth plans in the region, there are plenty of opportunities within our engineering teams. We are seeking a Senior to Principal Mechanical Engineer to support our important work for United Utilities. You will be involved in the full project life cycle, from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support, including site surveys and investigations. This role involves leading mechanical design for infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment plants, conveyance systems, pumping stations, and more. You will collaborate closely with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners, and other stakeholders to deliver positive project outcomes. Additionally, you will mentor and guide more junior engineers within the team.

Experience
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant subject.
- Chartered status or working towards it is preferred.
- Previous experience in detailed design within the water industry.
- Experience working for or with delivery contractors is beneficial.
- Line management experience is advantageous as there may be opportunities to take on such responsibilities.

Qualifications
