About the Role
Stantec’s Water division is experiencing exciting growth and is creating new opportunities across the South region and the UK. We partner with leading water clients to deliver some of the largest and most iconic water projects in the industry, focusing on sustainable development and infrastructure that adapts to and mitigates climate change impacts. Our teams in High Wycombe, London, and Reading support projects across Water and Wastewater treatment, networks, stormwater overflows, and urban drainage. The work spans the full project lifecycle from asset planning and strategy through concept, outline, and detailed design. We also collaborate closely with contractor partners on major Design and Build projects.
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will lead the civil engineering design for projects and work alongside overall project design leads to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction. You will support the professional development of junior engineers and provide leadership within the civil engineering team. You will also have access to Stantec’s world-class expertise to deliver cutting-edge designs that put community and environmental sustainability at the heart of every project.

Experience
Proven design experience within the UK water industry or related sectors. Demonstrated success in project delivery and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Experience in client-facing roles, leading client engagement and collaboration regularly.
About you
Passionate about the water and environment sector with a commitment to supporting the development of junior engineers. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within project teams. Enthusiastic about delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
Qualifications
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a relevant subject. Ideally chartered or near chartered status with a relevant professional body such as ICE or CIWEM.
