40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 13:30 till 22:00 (30 minute unpaid break)
Salary
£45,500 per annum, with an annual performance bonus plus Veolia benefits and pension
About the Role

In this role, you will organise resources including people, vehicles, and equipment to prioritise the well-being of our teams and deliver excellent service to our customers and communities. You will ensure all training and competency checks are in place, monitor operational performance, address complaints, and solve operational challenges.
You will lead the delivery of a first-time collection culture and meet all contractual performance KPIs. Building strong day-to-day relationships with client officers and residents based on trust and service delivery will be key.
Ensuring operations comply with Veolia Minimum Requirements and supporting continuous improvement plans will be part of your responsibilities. You will also investigate safety incidents, underperformance, and disciplinary matters to maintain high standards.

Experience
- Team leadership and management experience of large operative workforces
- Experience in developing and mentoring people
- Multi-faceted stakeholder relationship management, including clients, contractors, and members

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage safety and disciplinary investigations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence required
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification desirable
- Waste management experience desirable
- HGV C1 Licence highly desirable
