About the Role
Murphy is recruiting for a SHES Advisor to support infrastructure projects in the South. Our business is well-known for its extensive in-house expertise, experience, and continuous drive to innovate within the industry to create added value for all our customers. We support groundbreaking transmission and distribution projects in four countries, ensuring energy security for decades to come. Our services include design, construction, and commissioning, delivering Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects for both regulated and private customers, alongside technical and engineering solutions within conventional power and energy transition markets.
A day in the life of a SHES Advisor includes assisting in the maintenance of the Safety Management System, Environmental Management System, and Quality Management Systems to ensure continued compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001. You will carry out inductions, produce monthly statistics, champion the Culture Development Programme (a behaviour-based safety programme), and conduct and document site audits and inspections. Staying up to date with changes in safety, health, and environmental legislation and construction industry guidance is essential. You will ensure personnel on site have the prerequisite training records, investigate, log, and monitor incidents and non-conformances, complete all necessary report forms, identify significant safety impacts for work areas, and help set up appropriate controls. Additionally, you will ensure all safety and environmental records are kept and readily available, prepare and present toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings, and review subcontractor documentation.
Murphy is committed to innovation and sustainability, demonstrated through long-standing relationships with major energy providers and continual investment in environmentally friendly plant and professional development.
