Hours
40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Salary
Up to £47,840 per annum (£22.50 per hour based on a 40 hour week) plus a generous enhanced London Weighting allowance and additional allowances including £0.50 per hour HGV licence bonus, 1.25x overtime rate, 2x Sundays rate, 2x Bank Holiday working rate, and a £3,000 sign-on and retention bonus. About the Role
Join Veolia as a Skilled Technician and play a pivotal role in maintaining and repairing our diverse fleet of vehicles, including 3rd party vehicles and plant equipment. You will carry out diagnostics and repairs on hydraulics, electrics, pneumatics, and driveline systems using a range of specialist equipment. Your work will ensure our fleet operates safely and efficiently, supporting Veolia’s mission to care for the environment and communities across the UK.

Key responsibilities include running vehicle diagnostics, performing HGV MOT inspections and preparations (IRTEC Licence preferred, training provided), completing roadside repairs when necessary (training provided), and adhering to all Health & Safety regulations. You will also be responsible for accurate completion of paperwork and timesheets as required by the Workshop Management Team.

Requirements

Experience
Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or HGV Technician is preferred. Experience working with vehicle diagnostics, hydraulics, electrics, pneumatics, and driveline systems is advantageous.

Health and safety aware with a strong commitment to working safely for yourself and others. Reliable and motivated with a willingness to learn and develop new skills. Ability to work well within a team and follow workshop management instructions.

Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification or equivalent is ideal. Holding a HGV driving licence is preferred but not essential. You must supply your own comprehensive tool kit; diagnostic equipment and specialised tools will be provided by Veolia. IRTEC Licence is preferred but training will be provided if required.
