Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 13:30pm - 22:00pm
Occasional weekend overtime available depending on operational needs

£14.40 per hour, plus Veolia benefits and pension

About the Role
At Veolia, we are committed to ecological transformation and making a positive impact on the environment and communities we serve. As a Sweeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining clean streets and public areas. Your responsibilities will include manual sweeping of streets, footways, alleys, subways, and areas around street furniture. You will ensure all Gully Grids are clear of obstructions and that sweepings are not pushed down the grids. You will empty litter bins, replace liners, and collect sweeper bags from designated pick-up points. Using onboard technology, you will record task confirmations and report any graffiti, fly posting, or damage to litter bins and waste containers to your Manager. You will also be responsible for checking your vehicle’s condition and roadworthiness, driving and operating Veolia vehicles after appropriate training, and maintaining a courteous and professional relationship with the public, clients, staff, and colleagues.

Experience
Basic understanding of Health & Safety is essential
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not required
