As a Sweeper, you will manually sweep streets and other areas including footways, alleys, subways, and around street furniture. You will ensure all Gully Grids are clear of obstructions and avoid pushing sweepings down them. You will empty litter bins within your beat, replace liners properly, and collect sweeper bags from designated pick-up points.

You will utilise onboard technology in real time to record task completion and report any crew-related issues. Reporting graffiti, fly posting, or damage/missing litter bins and waste containers to your Team Leader or Manager will be part of your responsibilities. You will check your vehicle for condition and roadworthiness, complete appropriate forms, and operate any Veolia vehicle after receiving relevant training.

Maintaining a courteous and professional relationship with the public, clients, staff, and colleagues is essential in this role.

Experience
Basic understanding of Health & Safety is essential. Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
