About the Role
We’re looking for a Technical Specialist to join our expert Water Production team in Speen, supporting the day-to-day operation of Thames Water’s treatment works, reservoirs, groundwater sources, and booster stations. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring our water production assets operate safely, efficiently, and reliably—providing high-quality drinking water while minimising risks to customers and the environment. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for operational teams who need technical advice or guidance when responding to events such as water quality concerns, asset failures, process upsets, or supply risk issues. Using your technical knowledge and the latest digital tools, you’ll investigate incidents, raise the right work at the right time, and help field teams resolve issues quickly and effectively. You’ll combine operational decision-making with strategic input, supporting both immediate issue resolution and long-term improvement work. You’ll contribute to optimisation initiatives, risk reduction plans, and asset performance improvements that shape the future of our water production services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast-paced operational work, problem-solving, and collaborating closely with production teams to ensure our assets run at their best every day.
