About the Role
Fuse Energy is a forward-thinking renewable energy startup on a mission to deliver a terawatt of renewable energy – fast. Combining first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology, we are building a radically better energy system. Having raised $210M from top-tier investors, we are creating a fully integrated energy company: from developing renewable generation and grid infrastructure to powering the next generation of AI and compute-intensive industries.
We are also building the Energy Network: a decentralised platform of smart devices to electrify homes, shift usage to off-peak hours, and help balance the grid. This network strengthens grid stability, a critical foundation for scaling AI data centers and other energy-intensive industries.
As AI drives unprecedented demand for power and data center capacity, the bottleneck is no longer chips – it is energy, grid infrastructure, and the ability to deliver new capacity at speed. We are seeking a UK Infrastructure Development Lead to help solve this challenge. You will be responsible for leading data center projects from concept through to Ready-to-Build and energisation, owning the technical and development workstreams required to transform a site from an opportunity into a deliverable project.
Your work will span site selection, power strategy, grid connections, planning, engineering, design development, permitting, utility engagement, and delivery readiness. This is a highly technical role for someone who understands both infrastructure development and engineering, helping build the infrastructure that enables the next generation of AI.
