Role Overview
Our Client is a leading solar PV installer based in Manchester. We are seeking a dedicated and organised Warehouse Manager to play a pivotal role in our daily operations. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will be the backbone of our logistics, ensuring our installation teams have exactly what they need, when they need it, to deliver high-quality renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of solar panels, invertforkers, mounting equipment, and electrical components. Maintain accurate stock levels and conduct regular audits.
Picking & Packing: Carefully pick, pack and prepare materials and specialised equipment for upcoming projects based on picking lists provided by Operations.
Logistics & Site Support: Deliver additional materials or emergency supplies directly to active installation sites and teams across the region.
Fleet Coordination: Manage the maintenance of the company vehicle fleet, including conducting regular safety checks, checking cleanliness and basic van inventory is kept well-stocked depending on the vehicle user (i.e. electrician) and ensuring all vans are road-ready.
Operational Liaison: Collaborate daily with the Operations Manager to align warehouse activities with the installation schedule and resolve any supply chain bottlenecks.

Essential Requirements:
Driving License: A full, clean UK driving license is mandatory for site deliveries and fleet management.
Task Prioritisation: Proven ability to manage a shifting workload and decide which tasks require immediate attention.
Organisational Excellence: A "place for everything and everything in its place" mindset to keep a busy warehouse efficient.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with managers and field-based installers.
Desirable Skills:
Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or trade-counter environment (construction or renewables experience is a major plus).
Ability to handle heavy equipment such as solar panels and batteries, and remain active throughout the day.
Basic proficiency with inventory software or spreadsheets to track stock levels.
While not always required, a valid counterbalance license is highly advantageous.
