We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative to join a major utilities infrastructure project in Abbey Wood - Greenwich. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to someone with warehouse, yard operative or stores experience looking for a long-term opportunity in a busy, high-performing environment.

Please note: Due to site access and travel constraints, applicants must live south of the River Thames or be able to easily commute to Abbey Wood - Greenwich.
Applicants who are unable to reach the site within reasonable commuting time may not be considered.

What You’ll Do
• Operate forklifts and mechanical handling equipment (training available)
• Receive, record and store deliveries using inventory systems
• Safely load and unload stock and equipment
• Maintain good housekeeping and clear, safe workspaces
• Action returns and update stock movements using computer systems
• Support delivery and collection of critical infrastructure materials
• Communicate clearly with team members and follow daily work plans
• Carry out manual handling tasks including lifting up to 25kg

What We’re Looking For
• Previous warehouse, yard or stores experience (Essential)
• Physically fit and comfortable working in an industrial setting
• Good numeracy and communication skills
• Basic computer skills including Excel
• A full UK driving licence and access to transport (Desirable)
• Forklift licence is a strong advantage but not essential
• Punctual, reliable and able to follow health and safety procedures

Pay, Hours, Location, Start Date
• Salary: Up to £32,000 per year depending on experience
• Hours: 07:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday (45 hours per week)
• Occasional Saturday work may be required, paid at overtime rates
• Location: Abbey Wood - Greenwich – applicants must live south of the river or be within commutable distance
• Start Date: Early December
• Contract: Permanent, Full Time
