About the Role

We are looking for a committed Workshop Operations Supervisor to help bring our ambition of Ecological Transformation to life. You will be responsible for repairing and maintaining Veolia fleet and third-party vehicles and plant to factory and industry standards. This includes performing vehicle diagnostics using specialized equipment, conducting hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic repairs, and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations to maintain a safe workplace.

You will complete all required paperwork, timesheets, and operational update sheets accurately and on time. Your role will also involve conducting HGV MOT inspections, preparations, and emergency roadside repairs. As the first point of contact for technicians, you will coordinate work allocation effectively, manage contractor communications, tire services, and perform 4-point MOT checks. You will conduct weekly workshop inspections, manage job card processes, ensure proper shift handovers, and maintain technician productivity above 80%. Additionally, you will coordinate holiday schedules, training allocation, and wash operative coverage across all depots.

Proven ability to work under pressure, actively seek solutions, and demonstrate flexibility in undertaking a wide range of tasks. Leadership experience is desirable.

Qualifications
Essential:
- City & Guilds or HGV NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance and repairs
- IT skills
- Knowledge of MOT regulations

Desirable:
- Forklift licence (Counterbalance)
- HGV Licence
- Welding/fabrication skills
- Plant/RCV experience
- IRTEC approved
- Electrical knowledge
