We are seeking adaptable and eager graduates to join our Civil teams within a leading Engineering and Professional Advisory consultancy. You will enjoy a collaborative work environment, applying your skills to a variety of clients and projects across specialist services including Bridge Engineering, Aviation (Airport Planning & Advisory and Airfield Engineering), Pavement Engineering, Maritime Engineering, and Asset Management.
Our Graduate Programme offers hands-on experience, early responsibility, and cross-disciplinary collaboration on both small and large-scale projects, supported by strong mentorship from experienced engineers. You will work on notable UK and international projects such as the A9 Dualling Specimen Design, Tyne Bridge refurbishment, HS2 Old Oak Common and Euston Stations, Barking Waste Transfer Station, Stansted Terminal expansion, Leeds Bradford Airport Strategic Study, Bristol Port pavement works, and many more.
The programme is designed to build a solid foundation for a successful engineering career within a global industry, with opportunities to pursue chartered status and professional development through mentoring and training.
Teams and Day-to-Day Activities
Bridge Engineering: Support structural inspection, assessment, design, strengthening, repair, asset management, and project management. Activities include bridge inspections using specialist access equipment, structural design and assessment, supervision of contractors, and business development.
Aviation – Airport Planning & Advisory: Deliver airport planning and advisory services including master planning, demand forecasting, capacity analysis, terminal modelling, and sustainability advice. Tasks include technical delivery, bid preparation, and research on emerging markets such as sustainable aviation fuels and eVTOLs.
Aviation – Airfield Engineering: Assist with airfield infrastructure design, civil works design, technical reports, and site visits. Work with 3D modelling software and collaborate across disciplines.
Maritime Engineering: Work on planning, design, and construction of port and marine infrastructure, including inspection, rehabilitation, concept and detail design, site visits, and technical calculations.
Pavement Engineering: Deliver pavement assessment, design, and asset management for aviation, maritime, streetscapes, and highways, focusing on cost efficiency and reducing embodied carbon. Activities include inspections, design to standards, report writing, and technical advice.

Our two-year Graduate Development programme supports your personal and professional growth through blended learning, core business and professional skills training, career workshops, mentoring for professional registration, and valuable networking opportunities. Experience
Graduates with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree. Please note that only Master's degrees are considered for the Bridges team. No prior professional experience required, but a passion for engineering and infrastructure is essential.

Qualifications
A relevant degree in civil engineering or related discipline with a minimum 2:2 classification. Master's degree required for Bridges team applications.
