About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to landmark environmental projects that make a positive impact on communities across the UK. As an Assistant Environmental Project Manager, you will support Project Managers and Technical Leads in delivering multi-disciplinary environmental projects safely, on time, and within budget. You will work across a diverse portfolio spanning public and private sectors, including nationally significant infrastructure programmes such as National Grid's Great Grid Upgrade, Heathrow Expansion, East–West Rail, and Sizewell C.
You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from shaping business cases and supporting consent and permit processes (including Development Consent Orders) to influencing design and construction, helping to deliver impactful environmental outcomes. Key responsibilities include supporting project proposal development, assisting with project management documentation, coordinating project schedules, ensuring health and safety compliance for site visits, scheduling meetings, taking minutes, managing information via Common Data Environments such as SharePoint and ProjectWise, working with multi-disciplinary teams, and assisting with supplier contract administration.

Experience
Experience working within a Project or PMO environment, ideally with a background or strong interest in environment and land-based sustainable development.
About you
Confident communicator both in person and across digital channels. Collaborative with a proactive approach to learning new skills and solving problems. Demonstrates commercial and contractual awareness with strong financial acumen and analytical capability.
Qualifications
Qualification in a relevant discipline such as environment, project management, engineering, or quantity surveying, or a combination of relevant project management experience and qualifications.
