As an Associate Technical Director (Electrical), you will be a recognized specialist providing high-level technical expertise to project teams across Global Excellence Centers (GECs). You will lead electrical/MEPF designs for large and complex projects, including mobility, building, and infrastructure sectors. Your expertise covers HT, MV, LV, ELV systems, lighting, earthing and bonding, lightning protection, fire alarm and detection systems, as well as sustainability and renewable energies such as solar.
Your responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, managing projects and teams, interfacing with other disciplines and clients, and providing innovative solutions for complex issues. You will also support bid processes, review estimates, and mentor junior designers and team members. You will play a key role in shaping design processes, driving efficiency through automation and standardization, and promoting Arcadis’ Health, Safety & Wellbeing principles.
In this role, you will contribute to organizational initiatives, develop strong collaborative relationships within the Global Business Area, and help implement future trends and technologies to ensure sustainable development and project excellence. You will be instrumental in shaping strategy within your discipline and continuously improving design quality and efficiency.
Experience
Minimum 10 years of design experience across mobility, building, and infrastructure projects.
Proven ability to independently lead and manage complex design projects.
Demonstrated involvement and key contributions to major projects and complex designs.
Experience in feasibility studies, option selection, value engineering, scheme development, risk assessments, technical audits, sustainability initiatives, NetZero strategies, EV charging infrastructure, LEED/BREEAM assessments, and testing and commissioning support.
Proficiency with industry design tools including CAD, MicroStation, BIM360, and Bluebeam.
Experience in line management, budget development, financial planning, and implementation of company policies and procedures.
Strong project planning, control capabilities, and delivery of technical and professional training programs.

Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a reputed international professional body is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Commitment to continuous professional development and advancing technical expertise.
Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching, mentoring, and team development.
Ability to innovate and drive improvements in design processes and technology adoption.
Strong understanding of Health, Safety & Wellbeing principles and safe design processes.
Familiarity with TAW - Deliver to Results (DtR) Framework.
Ability to build collaborative relationships and contribute to organizational success.
Qualifications
B.Tech / M.Tech / BEng / BSc in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering; MEng / MSc preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of design processes, document security, and management using electronic document management systems such as SharePoint, ProjectWise, Team Binder, and BIM.
Evidence of continuous professional development and significant contributions to team and organizational growth.
