About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people in more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life. Our two-year Graduate GROW Programme supports your transition from student to professional, working alongside clients and on real projects from day one. Each graduate’s journey is unique, shaped by their chosen specialism and the variety of projects they contribute to. You will build technical expertise by contributing to meaningful client engagements and project work, while developing business acumen and professional skills through centrally delivered graduate cohort training. Graduates are encouraged and supported to proactively seek opportunities to broaden their experience and development.
As an engineer joining GROW, you will specialise within your chosen engineering discipline and gain the appropriate experiences needed to become a technical expert. Being an Engineer at Arcadis means applying a human filter to your technical expertise and training, making an impact through innovation and creativity. During this programme, you will develop core engineering and consulting techniques applicable to clients in the UK and internationally.
Join our inclusive and diverse Transmission and Distribution Engineering team and help shape the future of the UK’s energy system. You will work on a broad range of UK and international projects across transmission, distribution, and renewable energy, gaining real project experience while developing your technical skills alongside experienced engineers. As part of the Energy Networks and Renewables (EN&R) team, you could contribute to new grid connections and major 33/132/275/400kV transmission system upgrades across Primary and Secondary engineering, Overhead Lines, Cables, Earthing, EMT studies, and Civil Engineering. Opportunities also exist to work in specialist renewable technologies including BESS, solar PV, hydro, and wind, developing practical solutions to meet client needs.
From the outset, you will have the opportunity to turn academic knowledge into practical engineering experience, take on meaningful technical challenges, and build a strong foundation for your career. Sustainability is central to your work as you help deliver efficient, resilient, and lower-carbon energy systems supporting the UK’s transition to Net Zero.
Experience
You will be graduating in 2027 or have recently graduated in 2025 or 2026, with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree. Demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, and being a team player.
About you
Excellent communication skills with the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders. Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required (virtual working embraced where possible). A proactive learner who seeks opportunities to broaden experience and develop professionally.
Qualifications
Accepted degrees include MEng/MSc, BEng (Hons), BSc in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, and Civil Engineering.
