We are looking for an Assistant / Civil Engineer to join our growing rail design team in London or Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career while supporting the delivery of high-profile rail infrastructure projects across the UK. You will work within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, contributing to complex and rewarding projects in rail as well as sectors including housing and development, local authority, building structures and education.

Supported by structured mentoring and professional development, you will help deliver design solutions that meet client, programme, budget and quality requirements while progressing towards Chartered Engineer status.

Experience
- Experience in civil and/or structural design, ideally gained within a consultancy environment
- Exposure to the rail sector would be advantageous
- Experience using civil engineering design software to prepare technical deliverables
- Awareness of BIM principles and experience working within a Common Data Environment

- A proactive, collaborative and delivery-focused approach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with good planning and organisational abilities
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Flexibility to travel occasionally within the UK
- Commitment to continuous learning and development

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Student or Graduate membership of ICE or IStructE
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status with ICE or IStructE
