About the Role
As a Class 1 Driver, your primary responsibility is to operate various LGV vehicles for the transportation of waste and recyclates, ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and the Company’s contractual obligations with the local authority. You will be required to perform daily pre-start vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety standards. Key duties include operating hook lift and skip vehicles, adhering to driver hours’ rules and transport legislation, developing strong working relationships with third-party off takers, attending operational meetings, and maintaining accurate documentation and defect reports. You will also undertake weekly vehicle wheel re-torque and carry out minor maintenance and repairs as needed.

Experience
