Shift Patterns: Earlies 6:00 – 15:30, Lates Monday – Thursday 12:30 – 22:00 & Friday 8:30 – 18:00. Overtime and call out available Monday to Friday.

Salary
£20.59 per hour + Shift Allowance

About the Role
Have you seen our “Big Red Trucks”? With over 100 years of history, Biffa’s iconic red trucks and containers are a familiar feature across the UK. Join the team that keeps everything running and help us change the way people think about waste! You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles and waste management handling equipment to meet health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements. Your duties will include carrying out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to comply with Biffa’s operator’s licence commitments. Our diverse fleet ranges from light commercial vans to 44t articulated specialist assets, providing plenty of opportunity to learn and develop your technical knowledge. Experience
Previous experience in roles such as PSV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Technician, Lorry Mechanic, LGV Technician, HGV Technician, or HGV Mechanic is preferred. Skilled or semi-skilled Technicians are encouraged to apply as training and development will be provided.

Qualifications
- Fully skilled with a full Level 3 HGV/PSV apprentice qualification, City and Guilds, or NVQ qualification at Technician level.
- Minimum of a car/van driving licence is required.
- HGV licence is desirable.
- IRTEC qualification is desirable.
